Body paint is always a good idea for a Halloween costume idea, it's effecive and it means you dont have to spend too much on the outfit. Although if you can paint well then these x-ray glow in the dark style works of art are truly fit for the occasion.
Swedish DJ and producer Eric Prydz releases singles and EPs under a variety of project names, including Pryda, Cirez D, Sheridan, Dirty Funker, Moo, A and P Project, Axer, Hardform, Dukes of Sluca, and Groove System. Most of these singles are released on his own labels, which include Mouseville, Pryda, and Pryda Friends. Under his own name, however, Prydz favors straightforward, club-oriented house with a line in remakes of mildly cheesy pop songs from the 1980s.

The beauty what is DJ Sultana began in the hip hop and RNB culture, she made her first scratches at the age of 15. During time she began to attend the DMC Belgium where she learned all the techniques of dj-ing. Caught by the phenomenon of House and vague Electro that was breaking through the world, she turned to House Electro. A new horizon opens for her ... I know I'd want her at my party.
Kanye West’s new album electronic music not hip-hop
It was always abundantly clear that Kanye West was becoming corrupted by the pleasures and creative potential of electronic music.
First he sampled Daft Punk, then he headlined UK dance festival Global Gathering in July, and then there were those neon plastic glasses - a tip of the hat to rave, if ever there was one. Now hip hop’s new messiah Kanye West is releasing his very own electronic music album. Should we be scared or delighted?
Due out on November 25th, Rolling Stone are reporting the preview of Mr. West’s ‘808 & Heartbreak’ LP that they heard on Tuesday in Los Angeles is pure electronic music. “All the vocals were sung and treated with the electro “auto-tune” effect. But there was no rapping or overt sampling, just emotional waves of electronic sound, beats and occasional strings,” writes Steve Appleford.
Kanye West is touting the album as a very personal project.
He reportedly grabbed the mic after the album preview and shouted: “It’s from my heart. I don’t give a fuck if someone rates it ‘hot’ or ‘not.’ I’m here to bring positivity that cannot be judged.
“It’s like judging a grandmother’s love, and someone says ‘Your grandmother gets two and a half mics.’ Or, ‘You grandmother didn’t sell a million the first week.’”
So how should we interpret Kanye’s move into electronic music?
Many critics will view his album through cynical eyes - a chance to cash in on dance music’s vastly untapped mainstream potential (especially in the US) they might say.
Others may herald him as a genius who has managed to bring together two of the greatest opposing youth culture movements the world has ever seen.
Please excuse for what I do, but I've been thinking a RMX of this tune had to be done and I've found one. Not the best by any means but a pretty fruity electro mix. Producers watch her space, she may be back with "I licked a girl" or "I fucked a girl". Straight to the top of the chart if it does. Anyway here is the remix. Not sure who its by, just that he's Russian.
Eminems first interview in 4 years with Zane Lowe (Radio 1)
There was a time when Eminem was the talk of every part of the entertainment industry. Then it all got a little bit too much for old Mashall and he called it a day, straight after his Encore tour. Since then he's been doing the family thing and dedicating a lot of time to producing for the artists on Shady Records.
Zane Lowe managed to organise this world exclusive and bring up some great points of discussions including how he met Dr.Dre, what he's been doing, why he went quiet, and of course his new album. A great interview, and definitely worth a listen. Enjoy!
London: Clubs To Do Halloween 2008 (Techno, Psy Trance, Electro, Tribal)
Halloween is one of those nights, like New Years and ya birthday where you feel like you should have a big one, and quite right to. It's always a struggle to find something on thr night. This Halloween, there is a fair amount on so you dont have to miss out. Whatever your ears are feeling:
THIS IS NOT LONDON @ MATTER (http://www.matterlondon.com/) is a top choice. One because it has 80 sub basss bins under the floor, 2 it's new and you shoudl check it out and 3 the line up is pretty fruity. With Mujava, the one who brought us Township Funk, spinning which is enough to get me there.
Matter, of course, is the new multi-million pound venue from the team behind Fabric. Doubters might be pointing to its South of the river dwelling and corporate habitat inside the 02 but the reality is the arrival of the most technologically advanced venue in the capital and a music roster that has already heard Sasha, Carl Cox, John Digweed. Deadmau5 and Simian Mobile Disco pump their respective sounds through the venue's revolutionary Body Kinetic Soundsystem.
You can get to Matter on a boat trip with Thames Clippers piers at Embankment, Waterloo, London Bridge, Blackfriars, Tower Pier and Canary Wharf with a new all night boat service running back every night Matter is open.

NBA star Devin Harris beaten by amateur Stuart Tanner
I might be a little behind the times, but this video has become a online viral sensation with over 3.5 million views. It even made it into the londonpaper yesterday. It reminds me of that old story of the playground bully getting beat by the poor little white kid that got bullied (Cambo). Classic! Not sure Stuart was an amateur though. If so, not sure how long he'll be a personal trainer for.
BURAKA SOM SISTEMA first to be signed to Fabric Records
The releasing arm of influential London night-spot Fabric are set to put out their first foray into the world of artist albums.
Buraka Som Sistema, the explosive Portuguese/Angolan four-piece will release their highly-anticipated debut long-player ‘Black Diamond’ through Fabric Records on November 10th. Intriguingly labeled as an “electro ghettotech take on their favourite South West African music”, the band have been championed vehemently by the likes of Diplo, M.I.A, Santogold and Switch which goes someway to explain where they have been slotting into the UK scene.
The album features a number of guest vocalists - M.I.A, Kano, Petty, Pongolove, Bruno M, Saborosa, Puto Prata, Deize Tirgrona and DJ Znobia - who all contribute to their live show on a rotating basis.
The band will play two London dates - 21st October at Cargo and 22nd October at Africa Express for BBC Electric Proms - before embarking on a DJ tour of the UK in November and a full live tour in February 2009.
Focusing solely on compilations since its inception in 2001, Fabric Records has maintained a remarkably high standard across its releases which makes the decision to move into artist album territory both a bold and fascinating one.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS TUNE! Township Funk, the original, is by far my tune of 2008. The Ashley Beedle RMX that I put a while back has been real popular, so finding a more jump up rmx will hopefully get a nice response as well. Original is best .... as it stands.
Althiough, this is giving you even more bounce to the ounce DJ Rob 3 brings africa to the euro rave.. now let me hear ya say Jump ….Jump …Jump
This pre-dates the mix Cut Copy did for Fabric and you can clearly see them laying out the blueprint as several of the same tracks are featured. Makes for very interesting listening if you play them back-to-back!
Tracklist: fleetwood mac “tell me lies” the presets “truth and lies” daft punk “around the world” cut copy “future” the pixies “gouge away” a touch of class “the bullett” (silvercity-bob remix) billy idol “hot in the city” (dub)soulwax “e-talking” (tiga’s disco drama remix) the faint “your retro career melted” (ursula 1000 remix) les rhythmes digitales “hey you” (12″ remix) linus loves “stand back” (mylo pastel bronco remix) new order “kiss of death” explorer “yellow power” seelenluft “i can see clearly now” (tiga remix) chinkiki “tell me something more” the stills “still in love song: (12″ extended mix) alan braxe & fred falke “chrystal” guided by voices “the flying party” roxy music “virginia plain” cut copy “going nowhere” franz ferdinand “matinee” (headman vocal remix) vitalic “dance like a machine” chromeo “me and my man” (whitey remix) hybrid funk “everybody” (headman remix) cut copy “saturdays”
Here's a nice tame tech house mix. Probably not an evening listening, but definitely good for the early mornings. Gets some industrial in at 24:45, and gets a little crunchy. Enjoy!
"What is this music...?" Sweet old, slightly mash up, Annie Nightingale gets to put on her own breaks party to kick off Glastonbury 2008. Peoples were loving it, and as Annie points out, a lot of them had no idea they were actually listening to breaks... Whatever, and wherever the breaks/electro ting is going, people are loving it, and what better way to illustrate this than a Glastonbury Breaks Party.
With voting officially closed for the annual DJ Mag Top 100 poll, attentions now turn to the results party which takes place this year at London’s Ministry of Sound, October 29th. Among those performing on the night will be French techno connoisseur Laurent Garnier, the currently all-conquering Deadmau5, Ibiza mainstay David Guetta, Toolroom boss Mark Knight and the ‘Worlds Number 1 DJ’ who has apparently been confirmed. The line-up is notable by its distinct lack of trance artists who regularly dominate the standings and in particular the top 10. UK Beatbox champion Beardyman will be hosting the event which will cost a nominal 5 pounds entry with all proceeds going to the RNID’s Dont Lose the Music campaign. For the full line-up and further details visit the DJ Mag website
Banksy goes animatronics this time and creates a warped 'pet store' in New York's West Village. The name Village Pet Store and Charcoal Grill should give you a clue as to the managerial direction.
Just go see it for yourself. Open until the 31st of October 89 Seventh Avenue South (Between West 4th and Bleeker). A bit far but hey ...
Taken from the new ‘Metalheadz Presents The Platinum Series’, featuring some killer new cuts from the Metalheadz camp, this track has been reworked by the one and only, Break. Still present from the original is the underlying, sub-nuclear bassline.
Gone are the lush liquid break moments. This track is a monster all the way through, no holds barred, no time to for a quick breather.
If you were thinking of taking your fag break during this tune, then think again. This track slots well into the techier style of productions that are emerging from the like of Icicle and Survival.
No mass dynamics, epic vocals or crazed jungle drum patterns, just simple, dark and deep drum & bass.
Dub Police lynchpin Rusko’s digi- dub melodic basslines have received international acclaim over the past two years. With his Fabric Live mix CD and recent worldwide tours his is a name known even by your grandma.
LOGAN D and MC SHABBA D
Logan's papa Mickey Finn schooled him well, and beginnings on Kool FM led to quickly establishing himself as a prolific jungle/dnb DJ in his own right. His is placed alongside MC Shabba the Lyrical Dappa now a veteran of the jungle and d&b circuit with a career spanning over a decade- admittedly he did start at the tender age of fourteen.
DJ NONAMES and ORIFICE VULGATRON
The back bones of Foreign Beggars and founders of the esteemed Dented Records. Orifice with an insurmountably versatile flow continues to be one of the best rappers on wax and on stage and Nonames icy cuts have laced tracks for artists all over the shop. Expect a brand new grime, hip hop, dubstep mash up. Strictly Grizzness
Room 2 - Electro/Minimal Tech
Hosted by SOLARITY
In just a few months since their formation, Solarity’s productions and DJ sets have caused a worldwide seismic ripple in the tech and progressive scenes. Their bashyness knows no bounds… Just ask Tiesto, Ferry Corsten and Jody Wisternoff who have been caning their tunes to crowds of thousands. TRUST. Love These Guys!
Huge FUNKTION ONE sound system inside the venue. Get In!
People are too quick to dismiss street artists as rebellious, out of hand vandalists, but this collection of biology-inspired images shows they really know their stuff when it comes to anatomically correct precision. Street artist ROA displays the anatomy of rats, pigs, birds and other animals around the streets of Europe. Pure Evil, on the other hand had kissing skeletons which looked realy awesome.
It has been a long time coming, but finally the sets from Boom 2008 are becomingavailable. First up is Far Too Loud's set, which was definitely one of the highlights from this year. Psychadelic breaks, but sooo much more than that.
Check out there website http://www.fartooloud.com for up and coming tour dates. Although, I can tell you that they are in America for a bit so us in the UK are going to have to wait. Worth it much!
"80 sub bass drivers under the floor linked that are linked to the music " .... is all I can say about the new 'super' club Matter - informally labelled 'The One' of all nightclubs. Fabric owners Keith Reilly and Cameron Leslie led the multimillion-pound project, that opened last weekend and I have only heard of one review. Judging from the photos and the equipment that they've got in there, it's a gooden. Although, it seems transport is going to be an issue of which I hear a boat ferry is going to solve.
Check out the line up for the next 3 weeks, it's looking good:

In terms of the sound. The main sound system for the club is based around a Martin Audio W8L Longbow line array. Matter’s VIP lounge will feature Void Acoustics Air Motion, Airten, Axys and Mycro loudspeaker systems. Void supplied over 30 loudspeakers for the area, which features a dance floor and seven private-entertainment booths. Two custom-designed bass enclosures – the Axsys X, a 2 x 18-inch multiple resonant chamber design, and the compact 2 x 12-inch Mycro are housed in the area. The dance floor contains two pairs of Void's signature Air Motion triple-horn mid/highs combined with four Axys X subs with Airten twin-coil units used for infills and DJ monitors. The private boots in the area feature an Airten unit and a Mycro X that has been specially designed to fit under the booth furniture. The Micro X features two 12-inch drivers in a space that usually fits only one driver, thus increasing the subs power to 1500 Watts.... yeah ... so it's got completely sick sound basically!
Out with the old, in with the new. That’s the way London’s club scene has been moving recently with the closure of Turnmills, The End, The Cross, The Key and Canvas in recent months.
For a while it seemed like there was nowhere new for London’s electronic music fans to congregate, but then the people behind Fabric opened Matter, and from this weekend Shoreditch will have a new dance spot in the form of the Cube.
Cube is located at 55-61 Tabernacle Street, and from the looks of things, its owners hope to mop up some of the more clued-up London clubbers with a musical policy of nu disco and indie dance. Best of all, Cube is free to get into.
With a lighting system modeled on Studio 54 in New York and Paris Paris (look at the Cube’s groovy lighting system above!) the club is located in the basement of the Tabernacle Bar and will host disco and leftfield promoters like Crispin Dior and Ben Rymer, East London duo Lou and Nova, and Blitz Club.
The Cube will be open from 9pm - 2am most night, and expect a soundtrack of discofied funk to get deep to.
