The Prodigy’s 'Invaders Must Die’ free download disappoints
After the announcement a couple of weeks back that The Prodigy’s new LP ‘Invaders Must Die’ will be released at the beginning of March, the band have decided to fan the flames of hype with a free download of the album’s title track.
‘Invaders Must Die’ became available to download from the band’s website just a few minutes ago, and will be up till December 3rd.
Our initial thoughts? It’s a bit of a disappointment. Yes The Prodigy’s trademark fast breakbeats are in there, but it’s not a full-on frontal assault of electronic noise and incendiary lyrics that we had hoped for.
It’s quite commercial by their standards, and the lead melody is (dare we say it for fear of being headbutted by Keef) a little bit joyful and sweet, like something a Japanese schoolgirl would listen to whilst skipping down the street.

The beauty what is DJ Sultana began in the hip hop and RNB culture, she made her first scratches at the age of 15. During time she began to attend the DMC Belgium where she learned all the techniques of dj-ing. Caught by the phenomenon of House and vague Electro that was breaking through the world, she turned to House Electro. A new horizon opens for her ... I know I'd want her at my party.
Please excuse for what I do, but I've been thinking a RMX of this tune had to be done and I've found one. Not the best by any means but a pretty fruity electro mix. Producers watch her space, she may be back with "I licked a girl" or "I fucked a girl". Straight to the top of the chart if it does. Anyway here is the remix. Not sure who its by, just that he's Russian.
This pre-dates the mix Cut Copy did for Fabric and you can clearly see them laying out the blueprint as several of the same tracks are featured. Makes for very interesting listening if you play them back-to-back!

Here's a nice tame tech house mix. Probably not an evening listening, but definitely good for the early mornings. Gets some industrial in at 24:45, and gets a little crunchy. Enjoy!
"Don't be alarmed by the way I DJ!" ... Tricks may look harmless, he may be called Hen.Kid by his crew, but he can still lay down a filthy, dark, dangerous mix. Mixing together the best from Chase and Status, Dylan, Generation Dub, Simon Bassline, J Majik ... Resident at several Bristol clubs and played for the like minded Bassman and Trigger. Watch out for this one. Check out the mix below and listen to where the commercial bwois are going wrong. If you want to book him, contact through email.. Brrrraaap
Had this remix sent to me through Underground Music Lovers Group on Facebook. Love This Tune at the moment. It's glitchy, rounded, cheeky, it's Nice...What do you think?
Tigerbeat, a new DJ/Producer from Seattle posted/gave this fresh new mixtape called “Kate Moss Titties” up to the internet and with it he had this to say:
“My new Mix tape titled “Kate Moss Titties” is finally done and I wanted to share it with you guys. (It’s fucking BANGING, which is hard to say in a world filled with mundane vanilla flavored mix tapes from every wanna be DJ)”
Not sure if that is a fair statement but the mix is pretty fruity and gives me a good reason to put a nice little of Kate up on me site. Raaaa
So there is a lotof banta about at the moment about this tune. Personally, Soulwax dont always do it for me. That isnt to say that they arent the a couple of the finest mixologists about, being able to mix up pretty much anything, but sometimes their mixes are a bit much. This tune you can get down to. It's rowdy. Click here to get that shiznit! Raaaa
As a little reminder of Boom, here is a special mix that I found that helps take me back to a couple of weeks ago. Been warned it takes me back to the night of Terror Trance - night 3 I believe. It is ridiculously journeyful trance but definitely on the dark side. Unfortunately it isnt taken from Boom, as it is proving difficult to find any recordings from the experience. I hope you like this one. Thanks to Zero Blade!
It's debatable if this is better than the original, but all the same it's nice to have a funkin remix of great tune. Even nicer when Chemical Brothers are giving it away for free. Click on the download below for the experience.
MastikSoul started his career in 92, in a time where his life was split between Portugal and France, and from where he watched the raise of a new musical culture, that in association with his strong African roots designed his talent in a unique form.Being connected to techno music for a while, where he released his first twelve-inch and developed his dj and producer skills, came in the late 90´s with the desire of embracing other styles. House music became his main inspiration.
This is one the best minimal mixes I've heard recently, full of deep qurky beats. Listen to it all the way through with good speakers to get hear the true potential.
MP3: Adele - Hometown Glory ( High Contrast Remix)
I first heard the orginal of this track while on the bus, and really fell for it. Adele is a serious talent. BUT when I heard Hometown Glory after High Contrast had got hold of it, I realised what this tune could be. This for me is the tune of the summer. Cheesy in its own special way, but this one definitely strikes a cord. I'm thinking these two should work together more often. What do you think?
Listen to a teaser of the track here. But support the artist BUY the tune.
