London: Clubs To Do Halloween 2008 (Techno, Psy Trance, Electro, Tribal)
Halloween is one of those nights, like New Years and ya birthday where you feel like you should have a big one, and quite right to. It's always a struggle to find something on thr night. This Halloween, there is a fair amount on so you dont have to miss out. Whatever your ears are feeling:

THIS IS NOT LONDON @ MATTER (http://www.matterlondon.com/) is a top choice. One because it has 80 sub basss bins under the floor, 2 it's new and you shoudl check it out and 3 the line up is pretty fruity. With Mujava, the one who brought us Township Funk, spinning which is enough to get me there.

Matter, of course, is the new multi-million pound venue from the team behind Fabric. Doubters might be pointing to its South of the river dwelling and corporate habitat inside the 02 but the reality is the arrival of the most technologically advanced venue in the capital and a music roster that has already heard Sasha, Carl Cox, John Digweed. Deadmau5 and Simian Mobile Disco pump their respective sounds through the venue's revolutionary Body Kinetic Soundsystem.

You can get to Matter on a boat trip with Thames Clippers piers at Embankment, Waterloo, London Bridge, Blackfriars, Tower Pier and Canary Wharf with a new all night boat service running back every night Matter is open.

DJ Mujava - Township Funk (DJ Rob 3 Remix)
I FUCKING LOVE THIS TUNE! Township Funk, the original, is by far my tune of 2008. The Ashley Beedle RMX that I put a while back has been real popular, so finding a more jump up rmx will hopefully get a nice response as well. Original is best .... as it stands.

Althiough, this is giving you even more bounce to the ounce DJ Rob 3 brings africa to the euro rave.. now let me hear ya say Jump ….Jump …Jump

mp3: DJ Mujava - Township Funk

Mujava is a DJ from Pretoria, South Africa that was brought to my attention by Zane Lowe, on a radio interview he did on Radio 1. Asked whether he was shocked that it had made it abroad, and recieved the response it had he said replied "yes of course". I cannot imagine why. This tune it heavy. It takes you places that a tune hasnt done for a long time. It's got bits of old-school UK electronica, tribal, minimal, some...hell, I don't even really know how to describe it. If you think this is the sound coming out of Africa, don't, according to Mujava, his sound is unique and he is doing something special. With his help there will be more.

The electronic music scene has been dominated by Europeans (and, at times, various Americans) for the longest time now, so might this be the beginning of a new wave of electronic music from elsewhere in the world? Still too soon to say, but this song is intriguing at the very least and hopefully we'll be seeing more from Mujava and his peers soon. The single came out digitally on Warp Records/This Is Music LTD on August 11th, and will be out on 12" next week, on the 15th. I won't post the MP3 for download since friends of mine are ones putting it out, but I'll at least stream it so that you can fall in love with it and then go buy it yourself.
Here is a great RMX by Ashley Beedle though. Dowload that here
Listen to Township Funk below. But support and the artist and head to Beat Port. Without support these super influencers won't exist. Nah Mean ...
