Banksy, the world’s most famous (and elusive) graffiti artist, has launched a website. The site showcases his work and provides advice for creating your own graffiti. For example, Banksy notes, “Be aware that going on a major mission totally drunk out of your head will result in some truly spectacular artwork and at least one night in the cells.”

You might remember the video of Banksy’s Paris Hilton Hoax, in which hundreds of her records were replaced with a different CD cover. In addition to that hoax, Banksy’s world famous graffiti art has graced every surface from the most renowned government buildings to the walls of the gaza strip. Accordingly, the site is operated by his agents in order to protect his identity.
On the site, Banksy has answered some pressing questions about his work:

Is graffiti art or vandalism?
That word has a lot of negative connotations and it alienates people, so no, I don’t like to use the word ‘art’ at all.
How do you make the stencils so big?
By sticking lots of small ones together.
Do you sell t-shirts?
I don’t make shirts because it would feel like the painting was a guerilla marketing campaign for a fashion label.
Has Banksy sold out?
That depends on what he does with the money!
